Within hours, screenshots were circulating with circles, arrows, magnified sections, and captions.
One account wrote, “Look at the hand.”
Another wrote, “Look at the makeup.”
A third responded, “You’re diagnosing someone from a photograph.”
The argument continued for days.
A physician watching the discussion from his home eventually closed his laptop.
His wife noticed.
“You’ve been reading that for an hour.”
“I know.”
“Why?”
“Because people are trying to turn a photograph into a medical chart.”
She sat beside him.
“Can they?”
“No.”
“Then why are they doing it?”
“Because uncertainty makes people uncomfortable.”
She looked at him for a moment.
